Final Project Presentation
It is an interactive bracelet to identify and learn Braille, designed for those who have lost vision, is based on the Braille letter module (6 cells; two columns of three dots); pressing some of the buttons, depending on which buttons; user is going to hear the letter, so, we take the sense of touch and hearing to learn Braille easier; as an interactive way. Electronics Since is a system for visually impaired, it should be easy to identify, touch and press the buttons, so I designed in Eagle a board with 6 buttons, considering Braille letter dimensions (electronics design / input device) the buttons will send the signal to FabMp3 and say the letter.
For the sound system, I choose the updated version of the FabMp3 created by Matt Keeter;
(I printed and wrote down the name to each component (to identify faster the location of each component this version is designed to use two AA batteries, I replaced it with a 3V watch battery to reduce size. Unfortunately i am missing a component, it did not appear in the bom because is a newer version; but in the schematic do appear; so a component is delayed: TPA301: 350-mW Mono Audio Power Amplifier im waiting for it, to finish and test the fab mp3.
I Downloaded Type it Read it I wrote and recorded in wav with each letter and save a file with each letter.
Design I measured electronics package and draw them to consider making the case and bracelet, then I model, the bracelet, trying to accommodate each item in the best way to proceed to design the mold.
I milled the wax to make the mold, in the modela, and i had a few problems in the half of the mold the end mill fell out, doing some scratches to the mold.
I laser cut a base for electronics package, that allows to change the battery, and if its necessary to reach to the components; so I laser cut a lid with a hole for the battery, and with holes for driving the screws and gripping the electronics package- FabMp3+ buttons.

I try putting all components inside the mold and cast the silicon in order to get a bracelet with components inside, with buttons that can be easily pressed; actually obtain a very good result, in next days I will continue working on the project, to complete the fab mp3.
